Megg Brown manages the content and maintenance of over 150 web sites for Vassar College as the assistant director of web development.  She is also the trainer for the college’s content management system.  In addition to work at the college she has also served as consultant on projects in higher education and commercial businesses.  Her social media experience includes management of accounts, live coverage of events with Twitter and Facebook, as well as support for speakers.

Megg is an active member of the HighEdWeb Association.  She spoke in 2009 about how she sets up academic feature sites to avoid out-of-date content through dynamic content sources.  In 2012 she spoke at the Cascade Server User Conference to share how Vassar utilizes the content management system (CMS) to manage its official sites.  Megg is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and is pursuing project management professional certification (PMP).

Megg earned her MBA in general management at the University of Albany in 2010 with an emphasis on information technology (IT) management. She graduated cum laude in 2001 with a Bachelors of Arts degree. She majored in liberal studies and minored in information systems.

Megg lives in Poughkeepsie, NY (home to Vassar College) with her son.
